Good morning, Carson City, and welcome to the last weekend of February!
This Saturday is all about film appreciation around the area. The Carson City International Film Festival wraps up today inside the newly renovated Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center, while the Tahoe Adventure Film Festival occurs at CVIC Hall in Minden.

September 20, 2017 (All day) On Wednesday, Sept. 20, author Bonnie Boice Nishikawa will share her ‘life experiences’ related to growing up in the Nevada State Children’s Home. Located in Carson City, the facility provided a ‘home’ to hundreds of children, including Ms. Nishikawa and her brother and sister, between 1870 and 1992.
Cities Children Return Home

June 27, 2015 (All day) At noon on Saturday over 40 children are expected to return to the only place they called home. Northern Nevada Children's Home propelled many children into amazing lives as teachers, college professors, plastic surgeons, city managers, transportation directors, mothers, fathers and happy productive citizens.
We will return for a libation family reunion ceremony. We will water a tree and say thank you to all our
Cottage Parents that cared for us.
