The website also provides motorized trail maps and information about the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles’ grant program, which funds off-highway vehicle related projects.

All three WNC campuses are offering Driver Education through Continuing Education from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27-30 to people 15 and older.
Fire restrictions in Western Nevada to be lifted Friday; Carson City restrictions to remain in place

The Carson City Fire Department, however, has no intention at this time of lifting fire restrictions within the city limits.

Teens age 15 and older can choose between Saturday sessions that begin on Sept. 10 and Oct. 15, or a daily session starting on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

“I’m really excited,” said promoter Manuel Souza. “It’s going to be a great show.” For the first time, Souza is bringing in a Professional Bull Riding arena to put inside the park.

There are enrollment openings for the Feb. 6-March 5, March 28-31 and April 16-May 7 sessions on the Carson City campus. Classes are planned March 28-31 and April 9-30 on the Douglas campus.

And Friday was Deputy Wayne Wheeler's day in ceremony, getting pinned with a Winged Wheel that now makes him an official member of the Carson City Sheriff's Office motorcycle patrol team. He received his motor wings in a brief ceremony at the sheriff's administrative office.

Hundreds of Motorcyclists Attend Charity Ride for Howell Family

The ride from Carson City Sheriff's office to Reno Harley Davidson was very well attended. Polished motorcycles lined the street in front of the Sheriff's office and court building. It took more than four minutes for the bikers to get underway led by Sparks motorcycle officers.
