Dayton Township Kiwanis will be participating in the pasta cook-off and offering a limited number of raffle tickets for The Society of Medalists 128th issue bronze Fossil Collection, during Oodles of Noodles, Saturday, June 3 in Old Town Dayton.

Dayton mint has no plans to reduce workforce, company spokesman says

A Washington-based precious metals company with a minting facility in Dayton filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection April 1 following a $38 million February judgment in a civil defamation lawsuit against the company's owner, according to various media reports.

According to the company web site, Northwest Territorial Mint, headquartered in Federal Way, WA, operates its primary minting facility at 80 East Airpark Vista Blvd in Dayton.

Nevada State Museum staff designs grand prize for Carson City Mint Coin Show

WIth the 150th anniversary of the Pony Express this year, the Nevada State Museum staff designed a unique raffle prize to celebrate this year’s Carson City Mint Coin Show.

Raffle tickets are now on sale for the grand prize, a precious 20-ounce silver bar embedded with two one ounce .999 fine 150th Anniversary Pony Express medallions. Fabricated at Northwest Territorial Mint/Medallic Art and sponsored by John Etten of Heritage Collectibles, this unique, one-of-a-kind prize is valued at $1,500. The coin show is Aug. 27-28.

Mint to move operations to Dayton

A Washington state firm has purchased Medallic Art Company in Dayton, a move that could possibly bring about 200 new jobs to the area.
