Senator Square: Carson’s got game is the theme of 2020 Winterfest

According to CHS physical education teacher and Leadership adviser Ann Britt, “the class color teachers will be playing a game of life-size Hungry Hippo during the assembly Jan. 17, and we will be doing a door decorating competition with judging taking place Jan. 21; the top three winners will receive a gift card to Starbucks.”
Carson City Soroptimist to present award, scholarships, recognize Girls of the Month

The meeting is open to the public, with prior reservations required. It will be Wednesday, Jan. 22, noon to 1 p.m., at Glen Eagles Restaurant.

Snow and ice are expected to cover the roadways, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination, and drive safely.
There will be a few extra motorists in Carson City starting today and for the next 120 days as the 2019 Nevada Biennial Legislative Session begins.
Carson City Soroptimist extends Live Your Dream Deadline to February 4

Carson City Soroptimist has $2000 cash, plus tuition scholarship funds, and no one to give it to. So we have extended our Live Your Dream application deadline to February 4.
