What Works: Live in Carson City, Work Anywhere

Today, I’m going to put on my career coaching hat for this column. Lately, I have run into a lot of educated professionals who are having difficulty finding gainful employment.

What Works: Focus Does!

Hello Carson City! If you went through a little column withdrawal last week, I apologize. I was traveling back from Brendon Burchard’s High Performance Academy. A coach and consultant’s education is never done and I am thrilled to come back armed with new insights, techniques, and research to boost your productivity and focus.

What Works: Are you being a bad boss to yourself?

This morning, I was made aware of one issue that may affect 10 out of 10 entrepreneurs. It’s caused by all the good stuff entrepreneurs are: visionary, risk-takers, and people who believe in what they do and the quality of it. I am calling it Bad Boss Syndrome.

What Works: Stressed Entrepreneur? You are not alone!

What Works: The Power of Strategic Partnership

Last week, I wrote about my strategic partnership with Adams Hub for Innovation. I suggested you don’t have to do business, life, or your career alone. I framed it as seeking help through mentors and coaches. Yet, there’s another angle I would like to show you – the strategic partnership.

What Works: You can go it alone. But why?

One of the myths of the hard-working entrepreneur is they are alone. You hear about solopreneurs battling it out alone. You hear the challenges of being the only employee doing it all in a startup. You may even know or be an intrapreneur who is trying to get an idea pushed through alone. Here’s my big question for you this week. Why are you alone?
