With the start of the third season of blockbuster summer outdoor concerts beginning Saturday in Carson City with reggae legends The Original Wailers, it seems fitting for It's Your City to feature the person behind the scenes who pushed locals to successfully vote for a grant to help fund the popular music series.

This is going to be an epic Fathers’ Day weekend. Carson City Off-Road sponsored by Epic Rides has taken over downtown with everything mountain bike and plays host to a free Music Festival in McFadden Plaza. Don’t miss Arts and Culture Day at the Nevada State Railroad Museum with unlimited rides on the Steam Train, special vendors, and more. The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City is preparing for the third year of the Levitt AMP Carson City free summer concert series.

The countdown to an unforgettable season of free concerts under the stars in Carson City is underway with Thursday's announcement of the 2018 Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series lineup of artists who will perform at the Brewery Arts Center’s Minnesota Street Stage each Saturday through summer.

The Brewery Arts Center, Carson City’s premiere epicenter for the arts since 1975, will be hosting Southern Drawl Band for a live concert.

The Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation on Tuesday named Carson City as one of 15 small to mid-sized towns and cities across America to win a Levitt AMP Grant Award of $25,000 in matching funds to present a free concert series at the Minnesota Street Stage. The Brewery Arts Center has been a recipient of the grant for the third straight year.

Looking at a 5 p.m. Monday deadline the Brewery Arts Center is hoping for a big Carson City weekend push as it has lost some voter footing in its efforts to bring back the 10-week live outdoor music series it has hosted for two summers.

Brewery Arts Center is now in the running to bring back the 10 week free live outdoor music series to Carson City once again during the Summer of 2018.

The Brewery Arts Center wishes to thank all the residents of Carson City and beyond for the incredible support of the Levitt AMP Carson City Summer Concert Series. We hope to bring it back for you next year so please take time to vote for Carson City to receive the Levitt AMP award in November.

The Young Dubliners and Cíana brought down the house Saturday night on the Minnesota Street Stage at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall parking lot, bringing the 2017 Levitt AMP Carson City Summer Concert Series to a close.

The Brewery Arts Center continues its unforgettable season of free concerts under the stars in Carson City this Saturday with a lineup of rock, R&B soul and reggae music. This week's performance at the Minnesota Street Stage features reggae all-star headliner Marla Brown and local artists Moz’ Motley Blues.

Organizers of the weekly Levitt AMP Carson City Concert Series have moved Saturday's venue from the Minnesota Street Stage to inside the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall due to thunderstorms and rain showers moving through the area this evening.

Tonight's music, featuring the sounds of Thee Commons as opener and Whatitdo as headline act, will play as scheduled until 10 p.m.

Summer weekends make me wish I had a clone. With all the hustle and bustle in town, there is just no way to do and see it all. Start the day at the Silver Dollar Car Classic and you can get your fill of shiny chrome and breakfast, too; the Kiwanis will be serving up pancakes until 10:30 a.m. The Downtown Carson City Wine Walk has been infiltrated by the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival.
