Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. A new coffee bar has been added to the amenities inside the Max Casino on South Carson Street in Carson City.

Max'd Out Coffee celebrated its grand opening Wednesday morning with a formal ribbon cutting.

Black Bear Diner, an award-winning family dining establishment, is tentatively scheduled to open its sixth Nevada location in Carson City on Wednesday, May 25, Max Casino General Manager Lee Kennedy said this morning.

Max Casino looks to fill more than 100 new positions with job fair this Saturday

This Saturday, April 16, Max Casino in Carson City will be holding a job fair in their parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Max Casino will be looking to fill more than 100 new positions that will include all positions in the casino, hotel, bar and the new Black Bear Diner.

April Job Fair scheduled at Carson City's Wyndham Garden Hotel

The Wyndham Garden Hotel, part of the Max Casino on South Carson Street, will be holding a job fair on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to Wyndham Sales Manager Stu Wexler, the job fair will focus on hiring mostly for the Black Bear Diner. But the event will be for all positions, including the hotel, Wexler said in a press release.

Max Casino: Black Bear opening targeted for May

Construction of the Black Bear Diner at Max Casino on South Carson Street is in full swing, and is estimated for completion by early May, Max Casino General Manager Lee Kennedy said Tuesday.

“We’re going to push hard to get to that date,” he said. “The community has really become attached to this project. Everybody’s talking about it.”
