The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. April Job Fair scheduled at Carson City's Wyndham Garden Hotel

According to Wyndham Sales Manager Stu Wexler, the job fair will focus on hiring mostly for the Black Bear Diner. But the event will be for all positions, including the hotel, Wexler said in a press release.
Max Casino: Black Bear opening targeted for May

“We’re going to push hard to get to that date,” he said. “The community has really become attached to this project. Everybody’s talking about it.”

The boys of Pack 100 spent two weeks canvassing the Dayton and Mark Twain neighborhoods going door to door seeking donations with incredible success.
