Thirty-two employees who have worked a collective 671 years with the Carson City School District will retire this year. The retirees were recognized at the school board meeting Tuesday, May 28.

Senator Square: Students beat teachers in Carson High School dodgeball tournament

The annual Carson High School Dodgeball Tournament took place Dec. 6-16 in the Carson High School big gym during lunch, and both the victory and bragging rights went to the students and not to the teachers.
The competition was fierce with rubber balls flying all over the place and many of the younger CHS teachers strutting their stuff out on the gym floor, battling feverishly to defeat the students.

July 19, 2013 - 2:00pm Achieving their goals - to "strike out the stigma" of the LD / ADHD label and to empower those living with learning disabilities (LDs) and ADHD - is the focus of 5 college students, Eye to Eye mentors, who will make a special stop in Reno during a 12-day road trip: the Eye to Eye LD / ADHD STRIKE OUT STIGMA NATIONAL TOUR.
