The event aims to provide an opportunity for residents to speak with area leaders, public officials and health officials about issues such as access to healthcare and mental/behavioral health services. The meeting also serves as an opportunity to collect input for the next Community Health Needs Assessment that will be published by CCHHS later this year.
Tahoe Regional Planning Agency defends regional plan at Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals

The Silver Oak development is well into its second decade and there are dozens of lots left. The Shulz Ranch development has started its second decade without a single house built. The very large Lompa Ranch development has been passed by the planning board without any input from the public. And now, our wonderful planning board has passed a massive development project that will totally consume every square inch of open space on the West side.

Submitted by Brett Fisher on Thu, 02/18/2016 - 9:02amMembers of a community advisory panel met Wednesday to adopt a local charter for the state of Nevada's Green Zone Initiative, a statewide effort to bring veteran service providers and other community stakeholders together in a pooling of resources that would make access easier for the state's veteran population.
The panel approved making Carson City one of 10 community green zone councils across the state, calling its local initiative the Carson City Area Veterans Community Council (CCAVCC).

The Eagle Valley Trail Committee has completed a draft inventory of existing trails in the Eagle Valley area and is seeking public comment on the draft trail maps.
