Mondays are relatively quiet, but there are still a few options. It’s a great day to hit the lanes; one dollar will get you a game or shoe rental at Carson Lanes. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Comma Coffee with some music by CW and Mr. Spoons. High Sierra Swing Dance Club has their weekly ‘Club Night Out’ at El Charros, complete with an intermediate swing dance lesson. Get your karaoke on at Firkin and Fox.

I Love Carson City's Weekend Event Summary: June 27-28

Battleborn Brews, Bikes, and Bubbly features the Extreme Motor Officer Training Challenge, vendors, a brewfest, moustache competition and more. The Karson Kruzers are hosting their annual car show at Fuji Park, but will be making their way downtown after it’s over, so there will be plenty of cool cars to admire. Mojo Green takes the stage at 7 p.m. and you can head into the Carson Cigar Company to enjoy Reno’s newest Pink Floyd Tribute Band, Scarlett Moon at 9 p.m.
SATURDAY:
- Karson Krusers’ Run Whatcha Brung Car Show at Fuji Park (registration 7am-9am; show and vendors until 6pm; parade to downtown 6pm)

Head over to Eagle Valley Middle School for a rummage sale benefiting their LEGO Robotics Team; you may find something fun for your patio. The Spring Fling Stop and Shop at the Plaza Hotel will help you spruce up your wardrobe. Or head up to Silver City for the big closing sale at Doodad’s Emporium. If you find yourself in Gardnerville, the First Annual Summer Splendor Showcase and Expo features vendors galore.

Easter fun can be found this weekend at the annual EGGstravaganza at Carson Tahoe Medical Center, the Children’s Museum, the Carson Mall, and the Brewery Arts Center.
Head over to Mills Park for the Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration, complete with military vehicles, exhibits, and more. For demonstrations from soldiers with an even older history, the Nevada Civil War Volunteers will be in Dayton Saturday.

King St., Carson City. At 6:30 p.m., Jeffrey Munson will teach a lesson in intermediate West Coast swing. Social dance is 7:30-10 p.m. This month we have the added feature of a live band playing for part of the evening. "Two and half Margaritas" is a local band comprised of dancers. If you prefer to dance in cowboy boots, you can learn Country Line and Partner Dancing at the 11th Frame Lounge in Carson Lanes every Tuesday and Wednesday night.

You could stay indoors and celebrate National Clean Out Your Computer Day, but there are a few reasons to put your umbrella to work. CW and Mr. Spoons will get your toes tapping at Comma Coffee at lunchtime. It’s the last week to catch the New Year’s Show at the NAA Gallery at the Brewery Arts Center. High Sierra Swing Dance Club will be dancing the night away at El Charro’s for their weekly Club Night Out.
It’s Carmen Miranda’s birthday, so I've included a YouTube video to bring a little Havana sunshine to this grey Nevada day.

Come learn to dance in a casual, friendly, non-judgmental setting while making new friends and exercising.
Intermediate Lessons are available Mondays at El Charro Avita from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. for $8, followed by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club's club night out at seven o'clock.

Carson St., Carson City. The new floor was installed by volunteers from the dance community on Jan. 18. Both groups use the restaurant for the following dancing events.

I have no idea how that is relevant to anything, but now I've got the ‘Rubber Ducky’ song from Sesame Street in my head. Keep the musical theme going today with the Carson Feet Warmers during lunch and the Mile High Jazz Band playing this evening, both at Comma Coffee.

HSSCD will have a free beginners lesson starting at 6:30 p.m. and free night of dance for new west coasters.
