Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 04/25/2018 - 10:07amEdwin Lyngar, a freelance writer, penned a “From the Left” piece this week in the Reno paper under the headline, “Trump’s tax policy is an attack on the community”. He hit the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), President Trump and all Republicans and limited government conservatives.
We say “hit” because it was the usual leftwing label-and-bash fest, long on nasty rhetoric and not only devoid of evidence, but in fact contrary to well known facts and data.
His opening sentence calls the TCJA, “terrible … and a massive redistribution of wealth to the already super-rich.”

Dr. King chose to be a registered Republican because he knew, as does anyone who knows civil rights history, that the Democrats were the party of; slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, and builders of Confederate war memorial monuments honoring slave owners.

What if Assemblyman Ira Hansen has been lying about Chris Forbush?
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Wed, 06/01/2016 - 9:09amThe biggest question right now is: “Why is Ira Hansen, a sitting Assemblyman from Sparks, going to such lengths to try to make people believe candidate Chris Forbush is ineligible to run for Assembly District 40 in Carson City?” Ira claims it is because he doesn’t want to see Forbush win the primary, but then as the Republican nominee, get thrown off the general election ballot leaving the seat wide open for the Democrat to win. This piqued my curiosity, as the American people are somewhat unsettled as to who they should vote for to be the next President of the United States.
