The funding required four of the five supervisors to vote in favor, but it only received three votes.

Haunted Weekend

It started with the Carson City Ghost Walk, which has been a tradition for over a decade, and then the Carson Valley got into the act. There’s now enough going on to keep you busy through the whole weekend. Tours will explore Minden, Gardnerville and Genoa, as well as the Mottsville Cemetery. Spirits of the past will appear as you hear the stories of their hauntings on Carson City's Historic Kit Carson Trail.
There are two tour choices; the Curses Tour and the Rumors Tour. They depart from 3rd and Carson Street. First tour at 10 a.m. (departing every 30 minutes) and last tour at 2 p.m.
