'The Odd Couple' from a woman's POV, Greenhouse Project fundraiser, music and more this weekend around Carson City region

Heading into the weekend, there’s an abundance of activities around the capital city region over the next three days. The Brewery Arts Center hosts a female version of "The Odd Couple." Carson City's Greenhouse Project is hosting a lunch and dinner fundraiser toward a healthier State Capitol. Carson Creepy Short Horror Film screening and judging this Saturday

The screening and judging ceremony for the 2016 Carson Creepy Short Horror Film contest will be help this Saturday, October 29th, at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City. Competitors were given one week to make a short horror film between 5 and 8 minutes long.

Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding presented by Carson City Classic Cinema Club

Royal Wedding is a 1951 musical with the usual Astaire grace. Astaire and Jane Powell play a brother-sister dance team who each find love when they travel to London, to perform during the festivities surrounding the royal wedding. Come see Fred dance on the ceiling.

Film screening on Tuesday, November 3, at Red's Old 395 Grill. Trivia and film discussion begin at 6:30p, film at 7p. Come early to enjoy a delicious dinner at Red's. We close the evening with a raffle. General admission is $5, $3 Senior/Student, free for members.
