Bullis and Company CPA: Some thoughts about IRS audits

It’s great to have that income tax return filed! Maybe you can relax and take a deep breath now. But, what if IRS has questions or selects your return for audit?

The deduction for Office in the Home for the part of your home that is regular and exclusive business use is NOT an invitation to IRS to audit your return. There is even a “safe harbor” that can be used. IRS understands how important that home office is to many taxpayers-usually the sole owner business.

The Hundred Year War On The Economy

Sometimes it takes a while to get the big picture, to see things coming into focus. Now, I am not much for conspiracy theories, but if anything looks like it is being driven by design, this is one. The theories driving it were formulated many lifetimes ago. The people whose sick minds spawned them are long dead. For the life of me I do not understand how any egomaniac could possibly get his jollies from a trend he might have started but maybe not even his great-grandson might see coming to fruition. But there it is, a hundred year timeline on several fronts.

Carson City bar owners fight crime at doorstep, institute zero-tolerance policy

Locals may not know about the new bar in Carson City, Remedy’s, but they certainly remember the bar’s predecessor. Toad’s had a reputation for extreme late nights, bar fights, assault and other crimes.

However, once Toad’s ceased operations, two local business women, Lisa Tucker of Gardnerville and Megan Torres of Carson City, decided to make some changes for the better, take matters into their own hands, and create the relaxing and fun environment they envision at Remedy’s.

I am not disappointed; I am angry, I am tired.

I told you so, again and again for four years. OK, so Obama did not cancel the elections; he did one better, he put the veneer of the "will of the people" on it. Voting is the best revenge...? He never had to say, against whom.

Why is the Nye Regional Medical Center closing its doors?

I am writing to you about the recent statement about the Nye Regional Medical Center closing it doors if they don't get some help from the County or State. I enclosing a letter that explains why the state or county should allow it to close. There is serious mismanagement that has been going on for the last 4 years. Even through its the only health care facility's within a 100 plus miles still as a employee of the hospital I have witness many wrong doings and the placing of key personnel in positions that they would never be able to hold in any other hospital or clinic.
