This week's hike has CHANGED to the new Clear Creek Trail. Since Nevada State Parks is closing some of the trails for forest management, the original trail advertised, Tahoe Rim Trail Spooner Summit-North, will be closed.

USA BMX and Carson City BMX has joined forces with the United States Olympic Committee and USA Cycling to offer a free day of BMX racing at participating BMX tracks around the United States in celebration of Olympic Day.

Carson City BMX is one of those participating tracks. Our Olympic Day, actually night, is June 22, with signups starting at 6:30 p.m. Come try it out at no cost.

Carson City again welcomes the Fathers’ Day PowWow to the Stewart Indian School Campus for a weekend of dancing, vendors and crafts, and community. Saturday's Trash Mob focuses on Carson City multi-use trail

Trash Mobs are a grassroots community effort coordinated by Muscle Powered volunteers to keep the walkways and bike paths around Carson City free of litter.

The monthly, one-hour events take place at various locations around town that are in need of cleaning. Volunteers, who are supplied with work gloves and trash bags by Muscle Powered staff, remove litter from areas often used by citizens for recreational purposes such as walking, jogging or cycling.

The Edible Pedal 100® is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise. In cycling terms it’s a century bike ride (not a race). A century ride is typically an organized 100-mile road bike ride that includes rest stops every 15-20 miles. Edible Pedal 100® includes five ride distances: 10, 32, 50, 74 and 100 miles. Beautiful views,lots of fun, and we have a fabulous post ride barbecue featuring locally sourced food!

Fraternity men to make Carson City stop during cross country cycling journey

The Journey of Hope team will be arriving in Carson City on Friday June 16th for a visit with the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada and The Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities.

This overnight stop comes after a 35-mile ride from Lake Tahoe, Calif., the sixth day of a 3,720-mile cycling event across the country. The team will dedicate their summer to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through grant funding and community engagement.
