School supplies are often expensive for teachers to purchase and we want to help. When you bring in new supplies to Chili's, you will receive free chips and salsa or guacamole. Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 08/10/2018 - 4:02pmPlease join us at the Boy Scout Troop 33's fifth annual Car Show to be held on August 18, 2018 at Fuji Park in Carson City. Doors open at 8 a.m., show starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. with trophies presented at 3 p.m.
There will be food which is cooked by the famous Warren Engine Co. No. 1 on Carson City and will include barbecue hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and chili dogs with chips drink and cookie.
There will be two live auctions during the show with some very nice items.

But chili flavors stole the show, which raises money to send veterans back East to Washington, D.C., on an all-expenses-paid trip that also pays tribute to their military service.

Head to Dayton High School to get in on the action. It’s opening night for the Proscenium Players. Their production of ‘Love Letters’ runs for one weekend only, so get your tickets early. St. Paul’s Lutheran Family on Saliman welcomes you to their annual Craftique Open House. You’ll find the Young at Heart Seniors Club hosting a faire at the Douglas County Community Center. The Carson Nugget’s Sierra Room will be home to several artisans, vendors, and crafters during today’s wine walk. There’s quite a bit more, and plenty that doesn’t involve shopping, so take a look and have a great time.
