Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare is working with Carson City to turn the region pink for breast cancer awareness. This is the 9th year of ThiNK PiNK. We will be lighting up the capital grounds with pink lights to bring awareness to breast cancer.

Jazz Carson City 2010 will wind up this weekend with a Friday night appetizer followed by a Saturday and Sunday blowout.

It’s all under the umbrella of the Mile High Jazz Band, which offers a five-singer tribute to Count Basie Saturday night from 8 to 10 p.m. at the 3rd Street site.

An official ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Jackpot Crossing Casino in Carson City will be on Saturday, June 5, beginning at 1 p.m., with festivities all day. Join casino staff and management along with the Carson City Chamber of Commerce for the event.

Dick Campagni threw a big party this evening as they officially cut the ribbon on his new dealership facility on South Carson Street. Champagne, appetizers and a string ensemble were on hand to liven up the festivities. Mayor Crowell and other city officials were on hand, with everyone hoping that the new dealership will help boost car sales, along with sales tax revenue.
