Happening Saturday: Lions Club hosts annual White Cane Day

Lions will be available at the Market Street WalMart and Smith’s Food and Drug on East William Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to bring awareness to the public of the sight preservation programs the Lions support, and to raise funds to support vision preservation as part of the annual White Cane Day.

Special guest speaker, Past International Director George L. “Mick” Barrus, will address the group.
Lions Club Hosts Successful Kids’ Fishing Day
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 05/13/2022 - 5:12pmThe Carson City Host Lions Club hosted the Annual Kids’ Fishing Day at Baily Pond in Fuji Park on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event provided a good opportunity to introduce kids under the age of 12 to fishing and conservation. The Boy Scouts of Troop 33 and volunteers from the Douglas County Kids Fishing Derby helped prep the fishing poles and gear for the kids. About 75 children and their families attended.
Annual White Cane Days event this weekend in Carson City

Lions will be available at the North Carson Street Save Mart from 10 to 4 each day to bring awareness to the public of the sight preservation programs the Lions support, and to raise funds as part of the annual White Cane Days.
