Each year dozens of aircraft come in from everywhere to park in Carson City and attend the air races in Reno. The front of the airport rarely has many aircraft but for this event the area becomes full. Mountain West typically has aircraft parked nearby but at air race time this parking is also full.
First responders called to Carson City Airport for airplane emergency Friday afternoon
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 01/08/2021 - 4:14pmUPDATE 3:19 p.m.: No injuries are reported and responders were released from the scene. Responders on scene stated this was not an aircraft crash but rather a "skid out."
UPDATE 3:17 p.m.: All first responders are now on scene at the airport.
