Fall Festival and Chili Cook Off

September 12, 2015 - 10:00am The Fourth Annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook Off will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex. Admission is free to the event, and all attendees receive a free ticket for a door prize drawing. Vintage cars, a cake walk, vendors offering all manner of gift items, household furnishings, and personal care items will be available, as well as a number of drawing prizes.
Local authors and artists will participate, and the Lake Tahoe Humane Society, the Lake Tahoe Cancer League, and Christmas Cheer will be accepting donations.

Fourth of July celebrations abound in the Carson City area. Fireworks can be found in Carson City, Reno, Sparks, and at both north and south shore of Lake Tahoe. There are several daytime events going on as well, so grab the kids, friends, and family and have a great Independence Day weekend!

Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber announces 2014 Blue Ribbon Award winners
Submitted by editor on Fri, 11/14/2014 - 4:12pmThursday night’s 7th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards was the largest yet with over 300 guests in attendance as individuals and businesses were recognized for their exemplary services, products and programs in the South Shore community. Produced by the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce, also known as TahoeChamber, this prestigious awards program solicited nominations for six categories and eight total awards.
Over 175 nominations were received and 95 of those nominated joined their peers at the Nov. 13 awards ceremony at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.

TahoeChamber’s prestigious awards program that recognizes exceptional South Shore businesses received over 175 nominations for eight separate award categories. The finalists and winners will be announced at the 7th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards dinner and ceremony on November 13 at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Tickets for the awards ceremony are now available for purchase at www.tahoechamber.org.
