This week marks the beginning of Capitol City Gun Club’s Spring Trap, 5-Stand and Sporting Clays leagues. The Sporting Clays league begins on Wednesday, April 3 at 3 pm.

On Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, approximately 100 shooters entered our annual Turkey Shoot contests and more than 14 went home with a frozen turkey for their holidays.

On Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City will host its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot at its Trap fields beginning at 9 a.m. Entry is $5 per ticket, with a limit of two turkeys per shooter. The Club is located at 3590 Arrowhead Drive.

The Capitol City Gun club postponed our previously scheduled Three Shot Shoot to Saturday, July 29. The event will take place on the Sporting clays Course with pump and semi-automatic shotgun classes. Registration begins at 9:00am with a $50 entry fee per shooter per class. Shooting begins at 10:00am and goes until 4:30pm. Prizes include gift certificates for target packages of 150, 100, and 50 clays. Everyone is invited to come!

On Saturday, July 22, 2023, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City will host a Three Shot Sporting Clays Shoot with pump and semi-automatic shotgun classes.

By popular demand, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City is extending it hours on Wednesday and Thursday evenings through the remainder of the Summer. Gates open at 9 a.m. and will close promptly at 8 p.m. Normal hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.

Due to an extremely inclement weather forecast for Sunday, March 12, 2023, the Capitol City Gun Club Board of Directors has canceled the St. Patrick’s Corned Beef and Cabbage Fun Shoot. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on October 22, 2022, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City, NV will host a Ladies Day Fun Shoot from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Fees will be discounted for ladies all day and ladies who wear pink will receive on free round of twenty-five targets on a course of their choice.
