Greg Hall, CEO of the Nevada Humane Society, which has a presence in Reno and Carson City, organized a late-night emergency call with staff. They discussed how to operate amid the threat of COVID-19, a potentially lethal virus that carried so many unknowns. Meanwhile, seven hours south, staff at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas braced for the worst.

NHP reports vehicle crash with injury in Mound House Tuesday morning
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Tue, 06/11/2019 - 8:27amUPDATE: The crash that happened Tuesday morning on Highway 50 near Bunny Ranch Road in Mound House involved a school bus and a Honda Element. None of the three children on the school bus, nor the driver were injured. The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to NHP Trooper Hannah DeGoey. The cause is under investigation.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a vehicle crash occurred just before 7 a.m. in the area of Highway 50 and Bunny Ranch Road in Mound House, backing up traffic for miles.

On the schedule today we have day two of egg hunting at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, an Easter Sunday service at the Community Center, a community bike ride, and more!

Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 04/20/2019 - 11:14amThe first of two egg hunts at the Nevada Railroad Museum was a hit with the Easter hunters. Eggs filled with prizes, toys and stuffed animals were up for grabs during the hunt which lasted about one entire minute before the lawn was picked clean.
The Easter Bunny was on site for pictures, and inside the museum there will be children’s activities such as face painting, coloring stations, and more.
Festivities will continue throughout Saturday and then Sunday. The schedule is as follows:

On his tour during a snowy Tahoe December, he performed at the Harrah’s Club Lodge in Lake Tahoe.
Little did he know he had a few followers trailing him from city to city, and they weren’t hopeful fans, but instead, hopeful foes.

Easter Egg Hunt at Marine Housing Coleville
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Fri, 04/06/2018 - 7:38amSierra-Tahoe Branch and Unit #137 of the Fleet Reserve Association hosted the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Marine Corp Mountain Training Center, Housing Area, Coleville, CA which was well received by the children and parents.
The Branch & Auxiliary members prepared 600 plastic eggs and stuffed them with candy and small toys. In addition, one of the members made bunnies out of washcloths which the children can use instead of an ice pack (also known as boo-boo bunnies).
