Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include Polar Express train rides, Touched By Angels hosts a garden craft show on Saturday, a night photo shoot at the Nevada State museum, Rob Sherwood headlines the Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget, 'Matilda the Musical' and more!

Carson City Raiders Booster Club to host Christmas Commitment Fundraiser for Home Bound Seniors

The Carson City Raiders Booster Club's Christmas Commitment Fundraiser for Home Bound Seniors will be taking place on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carson Lanes Eleventh Frame Lounge, 4600 Snyder Avenue in Carson City.

Carson High Football Boosters to host annual Kick-Off Dinner on August 17

On August 17, at 5:30 pm at Rob McFadden Plaza in Carson City, CHS Head Football Coach Blair Roman will induct the 2019 Carson Football Hall of Fame Class.

Carson City Raiders Booster Club's Annual Membership Picnic

The Carson City Raiders Booster Club, a family-based group together for 26 seasons and sanctioned by the Oakland Raiders, invites all fans to our annual membership picnic on Saturday, July 13 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Dayton State Park (825 US Hwy 50 East, Dayton, NV). Parking is $5 and you will receive 3 raffle prize drawing tickets. The club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs to new and returning members. Senator Square: Carson High School students make plans for their future

Carson High School students not only experienced exciting college, job, and career opportunities outside of school this past week, they were also presented with an explosion of options directly.

Chamber Orchestra Students returned from their successful regional music festival in San Francisco, several CHS students enjoyed job shadowing with Nevada Legislators, and May 21 offered students access to its job and career fair throughout the day.

CHS Social Studies teacher Angila Golik, along with teachers Curtis Kortemeier, Mike Malley and John Martin, and a few other teachers, wanting to help the fire victims in Paradise, Calif. have donated completed art pieces to be raffled among teachers and the Carson City community since many of them know someone affected by the fire.

Carson Valley Medical Center Donates Two AEDs To Douglas High High School Athletics

Douglas High School’s athletic department received a pair of orange-clad Automatic External Defibrillator devices from Carson Valley Medical Center Tuesday afternoon.

CVMC primary care provider Jim Gocke, APRN, and CVMC Hospital Foundation board member Nita Schwartz, MD, were on hand to present the devices to Douglas High student athletes and athletic department administration.

Carson City Senior Center makes Christmas delivery for hundreds of homebound seniors

The Carson City Senior Center collected more than 550 gifts from area residents and businesses for homebound seniors this year. The Carson City Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program delivers almost 300 meals to homebound seniors daily. In the past year, the Center has provided over 79,500 hot meals.

This Sunday, Sept. 10th, the Raiders take on the Tennessee Titans at 10 a.m.
Food and drink specials are available at local restaurants within the Carson Lanes Bowling Alley
The club is accepting new members at this time. Membership cost is $30 for single membership; $40 family or $50 family with two votes on club business.

The Carson City Raiders Booster Club will hold its inaugural Fishing Derby Saturday, May 20th at Topaz Lake.
Sign ups are from 6-8 a.m. behind the lodge. Entry fee is $10 per person; up to three lines in the water. Each entrant must have a valid/current fishing license. No exceptions. All fishing rules/laws must be followed.
