Blu Jaz to perform at Carson City's Bella Fiore Wines this Friday and Saturday
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 05/07/2019 - 12:04pmBlu Jaz will perform this Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, at Bella Fiore Wines in Carson City. The four-piece band has quite a following. Blu Jaz performa a steady diet of blues and jazz coupled with a few dance upbeat songs.
They're becoming somewhat a fixture at Bella Fiore Wines, located at 224 S. Carson Street in the McFadden Plaza. The band consists of Myke Smith, on saxes, Bradley Harris, guitarist and harmonica, Paul Bonaldi, on drums and Tim Goldsmith on bass.

The newly designed space maximizes resources for quick care (testing and treatment) and serves as a monitored, internal waiting area. Newly carpeted and furnished, the triage area was completed and opened to patients just last week.

The legend of Cecil seems to have been first written down in the early-to-mid 1800s, when Nevada was first being explored by white settlers looking to spread out and maybe try their hand at finding gold or homesteading.

It poses the questions: “Are plants intelligent? Can they communicate, solve problems, and navigate their surroundings? Or are they inert, incapable of independent or social behavior?”

Dale Poune is a musician and songwriter. He plays guitar, bass, mandolin, dobro and sings. Poune is experienced at Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, smooth jazz and Bluegrass. He has performed with the Lacy J. Dalton, The Fortunes, Buddy Miles, David Frizzell, Johnny Lee, Paulette Carlson (HWY 101) and Marty Haggard.

The combination of Vincent Gates (guitars, bass guitar, lead vocals), Dean Rossi (drums), Curt Mitchell (guitars, slide guitar, vocals), Lisa McCuiston (bass guitar, guitars, tambourine, vocals), Rob Lawrence (keyboards, vocals) and Jeff Laakso (keyboards, saxophones, guitars, vocals) is hard to beat when it comes to recreating the iconic compositions of Pink Floyd.

Wearing matching team T-shirts and comfortable walking shoes, a few will have their walkers or canes in hand, but that’s okay, said Amanda Jenkins, administrator at Summit Estates. “Life is a journey and our residents embrace new experiences and challenges regardless of their age or physical abilities. Artsy Fartsy Art Galley hosts an artist meet and greet for Catherine King; enjoy a glass of wine while discovering her newest work. Head down the rabbit hole, and you may wind up on McFadden Plaza. The Carson City Classic Cinema Club brings the recent live-action version of Alice in Wonderland to the big screen on the downtown stage.

Yesterday’s Jazz and beyond performances were moved indoors at the Brewery Arts Center when the rain hit, but I have more hope for today’s skies. Look for The Other Brothers Band this evening in the Comma Coffee Courtyard. Carson City BMX hosts practice and racing at the track in the Livermore Sports Complex; all ages are invited to participate, and one day memberships are available for those who’d like to try it out.

King St. The concert was originally planned for Comma Courtyard, but the performers want to present the event in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.
