Pure Prairie League joins star-studded lineup in Carson City for Concert Under the Stars

The Greenhouse Project welcomes them as they play the 11th annual Concert Under the Stars on July 10 at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Carson City, for a hit-driven evening that also includes bands Poco and Firefall.

The Sophie & Fiachra Trio are a group of “musiciens sans frontieres' who refuse to let the Atlantic sunder their love of their own and one another’s Irish and Québecois musical traditions.”
The show begins at 7 p.m. Go here for tickets.
Comprising of Irish uilleann piper Fiachra O’Regan, Québec fiddler/singer Sophie Lavoie, and guitarist André Marchand, the trio take traditional Irish and Québécois traditional music, blended with Lavoie’s “lithe and masterful” compositions. Their choice of songs will “captivate the most casual listener”

Celebrate Summer at the 2019 Capital City Brewfest

Nearly two dozen breweries and several food trucks will line the newly redesigned Curry Street. Plus, there will be live music in McFadden Plaza. You won’t want to miss hearing The Belle Sounds, an indie pop-rock band from Austin Texas. The five-member band is sure to entertain you with its three part harmonies, soaring melodies and lush sonic sounds.

Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Tue, 05/07/2019 - 12:04pmBlu Jaz will perform this Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, at Bella Fiore Wines in Carson City. The four-piece band has quite a following. Blu Jaz performa a steady diet of blues and jazz coupled with a few dance upbeat songs.
They're becoming somewhat a fixture at Bella Fiore Wines, located at 224 S. Carson Street in the McFadden Plaza. The band consists of Myke Smith, on saxes, Bradley Harris, guitarist and harmonica, Paul Bonaldi, on drums and Tim Goldsmith on bass.

The five-piece band had been inspired by sounds of Motown, Stax, Muscle Shoals, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco; they are “music for the people, by the people,” and they do whatever they can to get a crowd dancing to forget all about their own troubles. Their musical roots and inspirations can be heard alongside their more-contemporary sound as they charge into the modern era of soul music. In January 2019, Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal released their fourth studio album: “Do It Now.”
