Create your own slab plate, soap dish, coiled vessel, wall vase, or sculptural piece. No previous experience with clay necessary. Class includes all materials: one bag of clay, glazes, and firing. Students will receive an introduction to the art of oil painting. Emphasis will be on developing painting skills through learning sound artistic principles, and hands on practice on an individual basis. All ability levels welcome. Come and learn how to spread the joy of the artistic life. If you do not have supplies, they will be provided for an additional $5 per each class paid to the instructor.

Students learn fundamental skills in the various dance styles. An introductory class to ballroom dance designed as a fun introduction to ballroom dance in various styles, including but not limited to, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Foxtrot, Salsa and Cha-Cha. The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City welcomes back the San Francisco-based Celtic Rock band Tempest to the BAC Performance Hall Saturday, Feb. 9, 8 p.m.

The Nevada Artists Association will present the Christmas Time Art Show at the Carson City's Brewery Arts Center Gallery. NAA artists will be exhibiting fine art in paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery and glass. Shoppers looking for those special one of a kind gifts will be delighted with the art at the BAC Gallery, which will be open daily, now through Christmas, including Sundays from 10am to 4pm. DURGA’S DRUM STORY
Your perspective of drumming will be forever changed!
"DURGA'S DRUM STORY" is a unique and acclaimed performance using multi-media to entertain and inspire as you learn about the rich and fascinating history of drumming. Marching to the beat of her own drum, Liz Broscoe, drummer, teacher and author, created this original production showcasing film, narration and performance. Liz, AKA Drumchik is perhaps one of the most diverse percussive talents on finger, hand and stick drums.

An anonymous tip about a vehicle used in drug transactions and phone text messages about drug sales led to the arrest of three Carson City residents for possession with the intent to sell.
The arrests were made near the area of 700 Hot Springs Road at 1:40 a.m. Oct. 29. According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report, a deputy was parked outside an apartment building and was speaking with a Capital City patrol officer. A vehicle drove up to the apartment complex that matched the vehicle description provided by the anonymous tipster.

Proscenium Players Presents: "A Christmas Chaos." This is a "Dickens" of a tale of mishaps, mistaken identities, mischief and mayhem meet. The Royal Shakespeare Company is slated to perform Dickens “A Christmas Carol” at the Brewery but get stranded in Carson City, Michigan.

Robert Leonard Reid’s “None of the Above!” a satirical comedy revue that lampoons the 2012 presidential election continues today with a 2 p.m. performance by the Wild Horse Theater Company at the Brewery Arts Center.

King Street in Carson City on Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 7 pm and Dec. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 2 pm.

A Carson City man faces a gross misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her family. According to the arrest report the mother of the woman who was beaten called authorities saying that her daughter had been assaulted.

Staged by the Wild Horse Theater Company, Robert Leonard Reid’s “None of the Above!” is the ultimate show that lampoons the 2012 presidential election. Directed by Jeffrey Scott and produced by Norma Conway, “None of the Above!” is written and composed by Reid, creator of “I Say Nevada!”

"The Ring"- New to the BAC, this class is a favorite and is great for experienced and beginners alike! In this two-hour class you will learn to make rings out of wire and beads. They are precious and surprisingly durable. In the last class we were able to make two rings each and every one of them was darling and reflected their artist! This let's you keep one and give one as a gift...or keep them both. :) (Class size limited to 15.)

Robert Leonard Reid’s “None of the Above!” a satirical song, dance, and comedy revue that lampoons the 2012 presidential election will be staged in Carson City by the Wild Horse Theater Company leading up to the election.

Abbey Gardner, director of Steel Magnolias, will be host this month, the second month we’ve done this, last Thursdays of the month. Future LIVE nights will include Karaoke (Idol Style-get some critique from the judges)
From 6-7pm we will go LIVE on TV and Internet from the BAC Performance Hall, 511 West King St in Carson City.
