Carson City Christmas Time Art Show at BAC

NAA artists will be exhibiting fine art in paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery and glass. Marching to the beat of her own drum, Liz Broscoe, drummer, teacher and author, created this original production showcasing film, narration and performance. Liz, AKA Drumchik is perhaps one of the most diverse percussive talents on finger, hand and stick drums.
Three arrested on drug charges after text messages revealed sales
Submitted by editor on Sat, 11/03/2012 - 4:55pmAn anonymous tip about a vehicle used in drug transactions and phone text messages about drug sales led to the arrest of three Carson City residents for possession with the intent to sell.
The arrests were made near the area of 700 Hot Springs Road at 1:40 a.m. Oct. 29. According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report, a deputy was parked outside an apartment building and was speaking with a Capital City patrol officer. A vehicle drove up to the apartment complex that matched the vehicle description provided by the anonymous tipster.

Carson City authorities make a number of assault, domestic violence arrests

According to the arrest report the mother of the woman who was beaten called authorities saying that her daughter had been assaulted.

In this two-hour class you will learn to make rings out of wire and beads. They are precious and surprisingly durable. In the last class we were able to make two rings each and every one of them was darling and reflected their artist! This let's you keep one and give one as a gift...or keep them both. :) (Class size limited to 15.)

Abbey Gardner, director of Steel Magnolias, will be host this month, the second month we’ve done this, last Thursdays of the month. Future LIVE nights will include Karaoke (Idol Style-get some critique from the judges)
From 6-7pm we will go LIVE on TV and Internet from the BAC Performance Hall, 511 West King St in Carson City.
Those interested in doing Improv LIVE on TV should arrive between 5:30 and 6pm to secure a spot.

Arts Center Holds Public Business Meeting

The meeting is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts and inputs of how the BAC can better serve the needs of the Carson City community. There will also be an opportunity to meet the board and staff of the BAC.
The meeting will be located at the Brewery Art Center’s Grand Ballroom, 449. W. King Street.
