Carson City sheriff's deputies make felony warrant, assault with a deadly weapon arrests
A 28-year-old man was booked into jail Wednesday on a felony Lyon County warrant, a Carson City Sheriff's Office report states.
Jake Wesley Stewart, who was in Carson City Jail custody on unrelated criminal charges, was booked for the outstanding warrant issued from Dayton Township Court in Lyon County. Bail: $25,000.
In other arrests:
— A 35-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and violation of bail conditions, a Carson City sheriff's deputy report states.
Shane Gorman was taken into custody at 6:11 p.m. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the officer contacted the victim and obtained their statement. The victim told a deputy that during a verbal altercation their spouse threw a softball size decorative rock that weighed around 10 pounds, and a decorative metal reindeer weighing nearly 5 pounds, nearly striking them.
The arresting officer wrote in the report that had the victim been struck by either of these items, serious bodily harm would have occurred. The officer also noted in the report there appeared to be a struggle with dog food and other items all over the floor.
The victim said they called 911 and that the suspect fled in a vehicle. The suspect returned back to the residence and chose not to speak to officers. The victim signed a victim statement. The suspect was booked for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor violation of bail conditions. Bail: $20,000.
— A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of two misdemeanor counts of violation of bail conditions.
According to the arrest report the subject had been trespassed from a convenience store and refused to leave.
When deputies arrived the man was found asleep behind the building, grossly intoxicated and could not stand on his own. He was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital for medical clearence. Hospital staff advised he had a .342 blood alcohol content. The Department of Alternative Sentencing advised to place two holds on the man for $3,000 each. Bail: $6,000 cash.
