Senior Spotlight: Carson High’s Arene LeBlanc

Southern Utah is lucky to be gaining one of Carson High’s most extraordinary students, Arene LeBlanc. She is an outstanding student who has overcome so much from her freshman year and now consistently demonstrates exceptional academics, leadership skills and a commitment to community service.

As a freshman Arene faced tremendous adversity that kept her from participating in the activities she loved. She has since healed and has become a valuable member of our schools’ swim team, a part of HOSA and an academic letterman.

Arene’s involvement in extracurricular activities is truly commendable, as a two-year letterman in swimming, she has not only showcased her athletic abilities but also demonstrated discipline and perseverance in pursuing her passions. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the pool, as evidenced by her academic letter, a symbol of her commitment to scholastic achievement.

One of Arene’s notable achievements is her involvement in a major project with Nevada HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Her dedication to this project reflects her desire to make a positive impact in the world. The Guatemala service project highlights Arene’s dedication to working with Nevada HOSA. The Guatemala project helped informed people in the area about medical practices and healthcare. Arene didn’t stop at awareness, she actively participated in fundraising efforts and encouraged HOSA members to contribute, showcasing her ability to inspire others.

HOSA is close to her heart. She will be attending Southern Utah, studying Exercise Science in their pre-Med program. Her leadership roles within HOSA showoff her organizational and managerial skills. She has served as the HOSA treasurer for the 2022-2023 term. Arene demonstrated financial responsibility and a keen understanding of the importance of fiscal management in a student organization. Her role as the HSOA president for the 2023-2024 term is a testament to the trust and confidence her peers and faculty have in her leadership abilities. As president, she is likely to bring innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to the organization and foster growth and engagement among the members.

Arene LeBlance is an exemplary student whose academic achievements, leadership roles and community service initiatives make her a standout individual. Her commitment to making a positive impact locally and globally, coupled with her academic excellence, positions her as a role model. As she approaches the next chapter in her academic journey, it is evident that Arene will continue to make meaningful contributions to both her school and worldwide.
