Carson City sheriff's detective: Two identified, one arrested in business burglaries
One of two suspects has been arrested in a case involving a series of commercial burglaries in March on East William Street, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office detective.
Two suspects are now know, aided by assistance from the public who helped identify them, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office news release. The suspect arrested March 23 for the alleged burglaries is Bradlee Morris of Yerington, Nev.
Charges for the second suspect will be submitted to the Carson City District Attorney’s Office. Morris was booked into the Carson City Detention Center on the following charges:
— Commercial burglary
— Vehicle burglary
— Attempted commercial burglary
— Possession of stolen property (firearm)
— Obstructing/resisting a public officer
— Grand larceny
— 3 outside agency felony warrants
He is being held in the Carson City Detention Center on $25,000 bail, along with a no bail hold related to one of the felony warrants.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division put out a news release March 11 seeking information to identify suspects involved in the recent burglaries of businesses while armed with a firearm at the 1800 block of East William Street in Carson City.
On the early morning hours of March 2, 2024, a suspect used a handgun to smash a window of The Wheel House. The suspect made entry into the business and stole a large amount of merchandise, the release states. On the early morning hours of March 9, 2024, the same suspect returned to 1800 East William Street with a new accomplice.
Again, the same suspect used a handgun and attempted to smash a window at the Rand Convenience Store. The suspects were not able to enter the business. The suspects then burglarized a vehicle in the parking before leaving the area, according to the March 11 release.
