Carson City BMX Race for Life set for July 21
Carson City BMX will host the annual Race for Life on Sunday, July 21. USABMX started this race and fundraising effort to honor Todd Kingsbury, a young BMX rider who fought and lost his fight with leukemia.
This race raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Additionally, keeping with Todd’s love for BMX, promoting this race where you do not have to be a USABMX member. So please join us on 21 July, with signups 9 to 10 a.m.. Cost is $10. If under 18, please bring a parent to sign forms.
Rider should be wearing long pants, long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Helmet a must (we do have loaners). Bike should not have any reflectors sticking out, chain guard need to be removed, no training wheels, no pegs. Riders can wear additional gear, i.e. elbow pads, knee pads, etc.
Gloves are recommended. And not forgetting the itty bitties, CCBMX has a Strider (push/balance bike) track for you too. So come give BMX a try.
