Seeds, Sips and Songs: A family-friendly, 'let’s look forward to garden season' event
The seeds provided have been shown to grow best in our high elevation climate. In fact, they are the same varieties SFLT uses in their SFLT gardens.
Check out the best in seeds for peas, beans, greens, beets, carrots and radishes (and more)! All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Activities include a reading circle with some of the best children’s stories about gardening and seeds, coloring, crafts (think “make your own pollinator” and a birdfeeder) and learn how to harvest seeds from flower heads (and store them in the seed envelope you make yourself).
Swing by RMU Truckee to grab seeds for your garden, relax on the heated patio with a beer, wine or lemonade and groove to the sweet tunes from Truckee Tahoe School of Music. This must-attend event will be held on April 20, 2024 from 2 – 5 pm at RMU Truckee. Find us at the carriage house and heated patio at 10292 Donner Pass Rd, Truckee, CA 96161.
See our website for all the details.
This event is sponsored by Slow Food Lake Tahoe and a Truckee Core Values grant powered by TTCF!
