Traffic stops nets half pound of meth, two arrests

Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrested two women early this morning after a traffic stop that netted a half pound of suspected methamphetamine.
According to the arrest report, Dawn Fletcher, 32, of Carson City, was arrested for felony possession of the controlled substance, felony possession of the controlled substance for sale, misdemeanor trafficking of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tara Schulz-Graham, 27, address not given, was arrested for felony possession of the controlled substance, felony possession of the controlled substance for sale, misdemeanor trafficking of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence.
A deputy spotted a silver SUV approaching him on South Carson Street with its high-beam headlights on. When the deputy turned around, the SUV suddenly turned on 5th Street, then Plaza Street, going about 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. The deputy then pulled the vehicle over.
Schulz-Graham was in the front passenger seat and had an outstanding arrest warrant. A search of her person turned up a pipe used for smoking meth. Her purse allegedly contained three baggies with a total of 7.4 grams of meth, plus another pipe, a needle and packaging materials for distributing the drug.
After a drug-sniffing dog indicated there was drugs in the car, and calling in to a judge for a search warrant, deputies found marijuana, a pipe and a plastic bag with 291 grams of meth.
Fletcher, the driver, was held on $250,000 bail. Schulz-Graham was held on $20,000 bail.
