UNR education dean to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

Monday's Democratic luncheon will feature a town hall by Carson City Sheriff Sheriff Kenneth T. Furlong. As always he is prepared to field questions on any and all topics on the minds of Carsonites, from whether black lives matter to whether Nevadans should defund the police. Kenny is the 26th sheriff to serve Carson City and Ormsby County since 1861 (not counting Sheriff Chon Wang, played by Jackie Chan in Shanghai Knights).

Elissa Cadish, Associate Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. At the luncheon she will explain what the court does and discuss some noteworthy cases she has participated in deciding.
