Carson City maestro David Bugli to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

Monday's Democratic luncheon will feature a presentation by David Bugli, conductor of the Carson City Symphony and leader of the Mile High Jazz Band, which he founded in 1998. He is also Secretary and past President of the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation and Secretary of the Carson City Historical Society.

Valentine’s Day is just a week away, and this is the perfect opportunity to find a one of a kind gift for your one of a kind sweetheart. The day is predicted to be sunny around 50 degrees, so it won’t be anything we can’t handle. You'll have until 5 p.m. to hit as many stops as possible before the raffle begins.

Consort Canzona presents a free concert on Sunday: “Madrigals and Dances: A Celebration of Renaissance Music.” The ‘Music Man’ wraps up its successful run at the Community Center. The Carson City Band Association, Inc. is proud to host its 12th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser. All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Carson High School Band programs. Your support helps these vital programs remain strong for our future musicians.

Students in these programs gain more than a finer appreciation of music. They also learn teamwork, discipline, confidence and leadership. This years' Wine Tasting will be held Saturday, April 25, at the Empire Ranch Golf Club on Fairway off Highway 50 East beginning at 5 p.m.

Zephyrus Brass Quintet to play Saturday at Carson Mall

Zephyrus Brass Quintet, an affiliate of the Carson City Symphony, will play for the first annual Blood Drive for Life on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Carson Mall, 1227 S. Carson Street. Admission is free.

The blood drive, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is sponsored by Northern Nevada Youth Football League and United Blood Services. Two semi-pro teams, the Reno Reapers women's team and the Nevada Dream team, will be at the event.

Zephyrus Brass Quintet to Play at Carson Mall

Zephyrus Brass Quintet, an affiliate of the Carson City Symphony, will perform inside Carson Mall, 1313 S. Carson Street in Carson City, on Sunday, December 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The quintet, hosted by Carson Mall, will play a free concert of holiday brass music to lift your spirits.

Mall Manager Kevin Ray said, "It's a wonderful day of music and shopping, with thirty unique vendors, including Hickory Farms and See's Candies, and of course, Santa!"
