While the individuals were correct in that the Andersons have every right to sell their land, the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors are not automatically obligated to approve a zoning amendment from agricultural to residential to allow for said land to be developed.

So, my brother, Rex, and I were talking the other day about whether or not I was going to be attending the next Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting. I told him that after the Vintage at Kings Canyon development was shoved down our throats, I didn’t have anything new to make public comment on, but was sure that something would come along.

On April 25 it was again the topic of another public meeting at the school. This time the meeting was called by the neighbors, and drew over 200 highly interested people, along with the mayor, two candidates for mayor, a supervisor, a candidate for supervisor, a reporter, a retired reporter, and other retired reporter also a candidate for supervisor.
