The first theft occurred on Jan. 30 and the second on Feb. 20, 2017. In both cases two male subjects stole used vehicle battery cores from a fenced area near the automotive service department.

The suspect is around 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 10 inches in height, with blond hair and was wearing a mask. He robbed the restaurant at gunpoint shortly before 9:55 a.m. taking cash from the business and a customer before fleeing on foot.

Valdez was arrested on a Carson City warrant. Krystle was released at the scene. Charges for both are pending in Douglas County.

Over the past year, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department has received at least three such reports and believe they may be related due to similarities in the subject's description and method of operation, said Lt. Brian Williams.
Missing Dayton woman found dead, suspect in custody
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 05/18/2016 - 11:06amUPDATE: The body of a missing Dayton area woman was found Tuesday in a remote canyon and a suspect, the woman's brother-in-law, is in custody on suspicion of murder, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
In cooperation with the Nevada Division of Investigations and with the assistance of the Washoe County Crime Lab, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested James Hamrick, 55, of Dayton in connection with the death of Davis. He is the brother-in-law of Davis, a Lyon County Sheriff's Office investigator confirmed.
Hamrick is being held at the Lyon County Detention Center in Yerington and charged with open murder and is being held without bail.

A search warrant was executed and several items of evidence has been seized this week from the residence of Toni Davis, 60, who has been missing since April 28. A forensics analysis is currently underway.

Toni Davis, 60, has been missing since April 28. She is from the Mark Twain area. She is caucasian, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 to 170 pounds; has hazel eyes, brown/gray hair. She has a tattoo of Betty Boop above her right posterior.

The husband of Johnie Nicole Shadden was questioned but not arrested after Shadden was pronounced dead outside the house about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near Yerington.
