Sierra Nevada Realtors is proud to announce its donation of $3,000 to Carson Tahoe Health Foundation’s annual Hopefest event. Many of SNR’s respected members and affiliates came together to ensure that the organization’s long history of supporting Hopefest wouldn’t be interrupted despite having to cancel its annual Cornhole Tournament fundraiser.

Earlier this month, members of Sierra Nevada Realtors spent time improving their communities all throughout the region. The annual Realtors Give Back event was special this year because it also included areas outside of Carson City. Members participated in community service as a group in Dayton and gave a generous monetary donation to the Fallon Youth Club and to the Boys and Girls Club of Carson City.

Gov. Steve Sisolak will extend Nevada’s soon-to-expire eviction moratorium until mid-October, while trying to fast-track the launch of a renter mediation program and adding $10 million for residential tenant assistance payments.

Nevada’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted the activities of many local businesses that aren’t considered “essential.” Realtors are among the list included in essential businesses, so are lenders, title companies, and banks.

CARSON CITY — Sierra Nevada Realtors recently announced their 2020 President and Board of Directors. The President for next year is Claudia Saavedra, who is a Realtor with Charles Kitchen Realty in Carson City, Nev.

CARSON CITY — The Carson Tahoe Health Foundation recently received a $10,000 donation from the Sierra Nevada Realtors. The donation was raised through the Sierra Nevada Realtors participation in Carson Tahoe’s annual Hopefest event and through the Realtor’s annual Cornhole for a Cause competition.

Heading into the midweek, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 activities abound around the capital city. There's a new group for writers that meets at the Brewery Arts Center; a salary negotiation workshop at WNC, a chautauqua and author presentations at Dangberg Historic Park. There's also the Jazz and Beyond Carson City Music Festival that will feature the Wesley Orsolic Trio during Wheeled Food Wednesday at the BAC, with jams to continue at Living the Good Life; there's also a real estate workshop for veterans, art showings, salsa dancing and more.
