Muscle Powered to announce 'No Zombie Texting' award winners at May 16 video debut

Muscle Powered, Citizens for a Walkable and Bikable Carson City, will be showcasing videos and presenting awards for the “No Zombie Texting” Video Competition on May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Brewery Arts Center Black Box Theatre. The public is invited to attend and enjoy the creative endeavors of young video artists from the community.

UNR Seismological lab monitors series of small earthquakes in north Reno

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory reports a series of 32 very small earthquakes since Nov. 28 in the vicinity of North McCarran and Highway 395. The largest of the earthquake cluster was felt early Saturday, 2:02 a.m. with a magnitude of 1.9.

Holiday Crawl draws hundreds, raises money for program giving Carson City kids a Christmas

The Carson City community held its third annual Holiday Crawl Benefit 2017 on Saturday to raise money for the Holiday with a Hero campaign that gives local homeless children a chance to shop for themselves and family for Christmas. The 14th annual Holiday With a Hero campaign is officially underway. The goal is to give at least 200 homeless children in Carson City a holiday gift to remember by presenting them with a $100 gift card to spend during a special shopping spree at Walmart.

79th Nevada Day Parade under way in downtown Carson City

The 79th Nevada Day Parade is now under way in downtown Carson City with thousands of people lining North Carson Street between William and Stewart streets, cheering on the more than 200 entries celebrating this year's "Arts and Entertainment" theme.

The Nevada Seismological Laboratory reports two local magnitude 4.0 and 4.1 earthquakes in a swarm of 40 events Tuesday centered 13 miles northwest of Truckee, Calif. The two largest events were separated by seven minutes.

It will be held at 788 Fairview Dr, Carson City, NV 89701 on Thursday, June 22nd. We have a social time from 6:30PM until 7:00PM and our meeting begins at 7PM.
