Dr. Ford along with staff and volunteers from Pets of the Homeless will be offering a basic exam, vaccinations and nail trims to attendees on January 30, 2018 at the Reno Event Center. Pets of the Homeless has sponsored this wellness clinic since 2011. If a pet is ill or injured, the client is referred to Pets of the Homeless to apply for immediate emergency care.

This organization provides care for animals owned by homeless folks. Downtown Coin at 111 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City is open 9-4 Tuesday thru Saturday. The oils are $16 and the balsamic vinegar is $22.

Wellness Clinic Vaccinates 73 Pets

Genevieve Frederick, founder of Pets of the Homeless and sponsor of the clinic, announced that 73 pets where seen and are now safe from infectious diseases. Dr. Gary Ailes of Sierra Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Mike Pulver of Timberline Animal Hospital and his staff, and Dr. David Kowalek and Dr. Micaela Kowalek of the Humane Society provided services.
