Lyon County and Douglas dispatch and sheriff's office lines down, 911 calls being routed to Carson City

UPDATE: From Douglas County: the regular non-emergency number is back up and running.

As of Sunday morning, some phones for the Douglas County and Lyon County Sheriff's Office, including dispatch are down. 911 lines in Douglas County were not affected but other lines were down.
Nevada Arts Council announces fiscal year 2020 grant recipients

Carson City Senior Center wants your opinion: Survey encourages city-wide participation

As part of the city’s transparency project, the Center launched a survey earlier this month through Carson City’s website here. The survey is open until Friday, March 3, and five participants will be selected from a drawing to win a gift card for participating.
Carson City's RCIL makes case for federal recognition

The meeting's purpose was to elicit public comments about how federal funds for centers for independent living are to be dispersed in the community.

I learned a lot about how to use my body more efficiently to reduce the pain I feel after doing my landscape chores. Think of all the things we gardeners do with our bodies: bend, dig, haul, kneel, mix, plant, prune, pull, rake, lift, twist and rake, just to name a few. And, we think gardening is a leisure activity!
