Carson City Senior Center wants your opinion: Survey encourages city-wide participation
The Carson City Senior Center wants your opinion, whether you participate in Center activities or not. As part of the city’s transparency project, the Center launched a survey earlier this month through Carson City’s website here. The survey is open until Friday, March 3, and five participants will be selected from a drawing to win a gift card for participating.
“We are very excited to gather feedback from our Center participants,” Courtney Warner, Senior Center director, said. “Their feedback is very important to us and will play a major role in the future of the Center.”
The survey seeks to gather opinions and provide information to both participants at the Center and non-participants on the quality and quantity of services available to seniors, including active adult programs, Meals on Wheels and other educational and recreational offerings.
“We also want to know what people who don’t participate either know, or don’t know, about the services we offer to help Carson City seniors, whether they need services themselves or know someone who could use some help improving their quality of life,” Warner said.
The Center will use survey feedback to help improve program offerings. Survey participants can also volunteer to serve on a focus group following the survey’s close to provide additional input on the Center.
The Center has a computer lab where people may log into the survey, and paper surveys are being provided for Senior Center participants in lieu of the online survey for those who do not wish to take the survey online.
For more information, email Courtney Warner at CWarner@carson.org, or call the Center at (775) 883-0703. The Carson City Senior Center is located at 911 Beverly Drive in Carson City.
