The John Doe Folk Trio is the latest project from singer, songwriter, actor, poet, John Doe. He’s most known as co-founder and frontman of the LA punk band X, but his musical performances and compositions span rock, punk, country and folk music.

The Nashville Social Club in Carson City is proud to present Side Pony, A Nashville songwriting super-duo with songs that feature heartbreaking hooks and punchy turns of phrase.

On the heels of a sold-out opening night on August 12 and only a few tickets left for the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash on Sept. 3, Nashville Social Club is earning top billing as one of northern Nevada’s favorite homes for world class music discovery.

“We’re thrilled to be making Northern Nevada music history,” says Kitty McKay, co-owner of the new restaurant, lounge and music venue, the Nashville Social Club in Carson City. “The first ever show at the 'The Swan’ Music Hall is happening this Friday, August 12.”

The Nashville Social Club opened its doors two weeks ago to an enthusiastic community. The new southern fusion restaurant, bar and music venue is quickly becoming a local favorite as a place to “hang” in Carson City.

Bring a lawn chair, a picnic and enjoy an evening in the Silver City Park with a blues, funk and classic rock concert by Mylo McCormick on Sunday, July 29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Classic cars, motor bikes, beer judging, tattoo and pin-up contests, food, live music and array of family-friendly activities will fill downtown Carson City and Fuji Park this weekend for three events: The Battle Born 1864 Brews, Bikes and Bubbly fundraiser, the 12th annual Carson City Sheriff's Office Extreme Motor Officer Training Challenge and the 31st Run What-Cha-Brung car show.
