A virtual “Light After Dark” fitness event will be held on Saturday to support the Carson City-based Advocated to End Domestic Violence program. Heading into Monday, July 8, 2019 we want to give a big shout out to all the local organizations and agencies that made this Fourth of July weekend around the Carson City region one to remember. For Monday we're looking at a number of events including a basketball camp at the MAC, a children's theater camp, a local talk with the Carson City Airport manager, art activities, line dancing and more.

Get in the Act is celebrating its 19th summer of providing aspiring young performers to the magical world of theater through dancing, singing and acting and we are excited to bring our popular camp to the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada this summer! The camp is for students entering grades K-3rd, July 8-12 from 9 am to Noon.

Carson City 4-H programs, brought to you through the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, have new and on-going project clubs open to area youth ages 5–18.

Carson City School District has got to be one of the best places on earth to work, this coming from someone who has been here for 18 years. Some may call this hyperbole, but if someone actually took the time to do the research, he would find hyperbole is not the case as further evidence of this may be seen in the following letter written to all teachers within the school district by a friendly, kind, and professional Superintendent, Richard Stokes.

The Associated Students of Western Nevada (ASWN) began welcoming back its student body for Fall 2018 on Thursday, Aug. 30 with a barbecue introducing new Western Nevada College President, Dr. Vincent Solis.

— Maintenance – learn skills to maintain your smoke-free life

Learn about prescription and over the counter cessation aids. Improve your self-image, learn stress management and avoid weight gain
