Carson City sheriff's deputies arrest man after 2,000 grams of meth found inside car trunk
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 06/17/2014 - 9:31amA 46-year-old Los Angeles, Calif., man was jailed early Tuesday morning on felony charges of drug trafficking and sale after approximately 2,000 grams of meth was found inside a car, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Jose Reyes Andrade was arrested at 4:32 a.m. in the 100 block of East Long Street. Bail has been set at $270,000.
According to the arrest report, a Carson City deputy on patrol observed a Volkswagon Passat with Nevada license plates in front of closed businesses. The registered owner of the vehicle had a confirmed warrant.

South Lake Tahoe police arrest sex offender after he allegedly skinned a raccoon
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 08/20/2013 - 3:50pmSouth Lake Tahoe police arrested a man on Monday for allegedly skinning a raccoon after a foot chase ended on the South Tahoe Middle School ball field.
Kevin Burroughs, 37, faces several charges including unlawful taking of wildlife. He is also a parolee and a registered sex offender out of California and had a felony warrant for being a parolee-at-large. The raccoon’s remains were recovered and destroyed by Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.
