TACH Presents Global Music and Dance
Traditional Association for Cultural Harmony, a non-profit organization presents "Global Music and Dance" in July, 2014. A four-day concert will present a collaboration of Indo-American artist, an Indian Dance, Indian Classical, Jazz, Fusion, Saxophone, Flute, Harp and more.
Top artists presenting the events on July 12, 25, 26 and 27 are:
Adam Levy (Los Angeles), whose playing has been featured on recordings by major label artist such as Norah Jones on her first three albums, on Tracey Chapman's New Beginning and Amos Lee's self-titled release. Levy's solo on Norah Jones' "Come Away with Me," is a simple, earnest plea echoing the sentiment of the song.
Sushmita Srikanth (India/USA), Bharatnatyam, has performed in several venues the last 14 years and participated in many company productions including Panchadasa Natya Samaroh.
Jimmy Robinson (New Orleans), who has appeared in a concert with Bella Feck, Jeff Beck, John Fahey, Stephen Stills, John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. The Huffington Post said, "Robinson is nothing short of brilliant ...".
Dallas Smith of Reno, easily moves between the melodic quality of the flute to the sensual richness of the saxophone and clarinet and on to the magic of the electric wind instrument.
Susan Mazer of Reno, has worked to set a new standard for excellence and artistry as a harpist in the contemporary instrumental jazz and pop music genres. This has lead her to venture into the technological realm of amplification.
Chakrapani Singh of Reno, is truly a rare instrumentalist with an unique repertoire ranging from traditional, and classical compositions on the slide guitar to his innovative renditions on the Kachappi Veena.
