Carson City Symphony Association announces Carson Chamber Singers director

His connection with the Carson Chamber Singers goes back to the summer of 2019, when he directed the Singers in the June Pops Party concert in Carson City and the July 4th concert in Genoa.
Eleven New Cases reported in Quad-County area since July 2, three new hospitalizations

This brings the total number of cases to 372, with 260 recoveries and seven deaths, 105 cases remain active.

Due to the volume of celebrants within the Stateline casino core at Lake Tahoe, Nevada Beach and Zephyr Cove areas during this event and throughout the weekend, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is reminding our residents and visitors to be safe and mindful of the laws surrounding their festivities.

Fishing Report: Anglers are reeling them in during the warming weather

Many of the passes are opening and the higher lakes are thawing out. Winter seems to get longer and longer each year. So enjoy the next two weeks of spring, because I have a feeling its going to be a hot year. Fishing has started to pick up all over the area, and with the school year ending for most kids, we are now in full camping mode. There are still some areas that are closed, due to the excessive winter we just had. I will try to keep you updated as the season progresses.

Of course, he talked about Trumpian politics — along with guns and hunting — but he charmed the audience with great jokes and a rockin’ performance. A long line as the doors opened but people were inside in no time. A packed house filled TJ’s Corral at Carson Valley Inn for the continuation of the summer concert series.
NHP urges motorists to slow down, take the extra time during July 4 holiday

Life of Julia Bulette featured at Leisure Hour Club dinner meeting

Bulette’s murder began a manhunt that last over a year and resulted in the arrest, trial, and the April 24, 1869 execution of John Millian.
In what was the largest gathering of people in Nevada up to that time, 3,000 to 4,000 people were present at the hanging.

Each year, hundreds of Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for our largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from our beaches. Help Keep Tahoe Blue by joining a beach cleanup site!
Cleanup sites include:
• Commons Beach (Tahoe City)
• Kings Beach
• Kiva Beach
• Nevada Beach
• Regan Beach
We will provide cleanup materials, refreshments and raffle prizes. Please bring your reusable water bottle, friends and cleanup gloves if you have them!
