A rainy day is in store for us today, and possibly tomorrow, but don’t let that ruin the fun. Jeffery Pace welcomes you to the Grand Opening of Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery’s new location. Two screenings of ‘Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age’ this evening will be in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Community Center: it’s free and open to all. Sing your heart out downtown. You’ll find karaoke at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar and the Westside Pour House.

Please drive carefully, some of those puddles may be deeper than they look. If the kids are getting cabin fever on their winter break, head to the Carson Library for Lego Club this afternoon. Thursday always offers karaoke: the boys of J and M Productions host it at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar. If your motorcycle is feeling neglected in the garage, head to Battle Born Harley for their monthly Bike Night, and commiserate with fellow riders over a game of pool, a pint, or some darts.
Architecture, hardware supplier finishes Carson City expansion, nearly doubles capacity

Local bars and taverns have been collecting toys since late November and will push for a final count at 6 p.m. Saturday. Salvation Army officials will be “Bar Hopping” in the afternoon and evening picking up toys and thanking everyone for their support of this Toy Drive.
Carson City Harley-Davidson employees not paid, told to file for unemployment
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 11/23/2015 - 2:39pmCarson City Harley Davidson was closed last week with employees not receiving their paychecks Friday and told they could file for unemployment insurance, Carson Now has learned. When contacted Monday, the owner of the motorcycle facility on Research Way said the business will open Tuesday and that all the employees will be paid.
Multiple phone calls to the Carson City Harley-Davidson facility went unanswered this weekend. A sign in the window said: “Due to a system-wide outage we are currently closed. We will be extending the contest an additional week. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
Carson City sheriff's deputy earns Winged Wheel pin in motorcycle patrol unit ceremony

And Friday was Deputy Wayne Wheeler's day in ceremony, getting pinned with a Winged Wheel that now makes him an official member of the Carson City Sheriff's Office motorcycle patrol team. He received his motor wings in a brief ceremony at the sheriff's administrative office.

Hundreds of Motorcyclists Attend Charity Ride for Howell Family

The ride from Carson City Sheriff's office to Reno Harley Davidson was very well attended. Polished motorcycles lined the street in front of the Sheriff's office and court building. It took more than four minutes for the bikers to get underway led by Sparks motorcycle officers.

The all-day fundraiser will feature special guest Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt and a video appearance by actor Joe Mantegna, of "Criminal Minds" and "The Simpsons." Headlining band will be Lavish Green. One hundred percent of the profit proceeds from the benefit will be presented to the Howell family.

Look to the sky around 8:30 p.m. to catch the fireworks show. Spruce up your resume and head to the Community Center. A job fair with more than 50 employers opens its doors to the public at 2 p.m. Go Big Blue! The varsity football game against Hug High School starts at 7 p.m. following the Homecoming Float Parade. Catch some live music at Living the Good Life or Westside Pour House. You’ll find a reason to laugh at Carson Comedy inside the Carson Nugget.
