Brian Sandoval presides over a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at 9 a.m., and even more is in store at the Legislature, including a BBQ. It’s also Nevada Moves Day, which means you’ll see a lot of school age walkers and bicyclists on the sidewalks. Reward your family with a movie at the Library tonight: The BFG is fun for all ages. The Father-Daughter Dance at Carson High is on March 31, but don’t wait until the last moment for tickets. Grab them in the High School Office between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Grab some friends and head to Carson Cigar Co. for Game Night: Cards Against Humanities, Apples to Apples, and Jenga are just a few of the offerings – it changes every week.

Las Vegas artist’s photography on display at LXS Gallery

CARSON CITY, Nevada – Las Vegas artist Christopher Tsouras, a grandson of Greek immigrants, has a longtime fascination with pre-classical Greek mythology.

That fascination, along with his deep interest in modern astronomy, are at the heart of Tsouras’ photography and mixed media exhibit that goes on display at the Nevada Arts Council’s LXS Gallery beginning Monday, Feb. 27.
