And, studies show the best defense against breast cancer is early detection. With this in mind, Carson Tahoe will open its new comprehensive breast center in Carson City on Aug. 11.

Marine unit to hold day, night-time air training exercises near Minden-Tahoe Airport

The unit will fly personnel and equipment in Marine aircraft to conduct training exercises in the adjacent areas. To ensure the training is realistic, some flights will occur after dark, increasing local air traffic.
