Carson City marks new era for Carson Street with ribbon cutting

Glistening from rain earlier Friday morning, the finished product was unveiled in front of hundreds at a formal ribbon cutting ceremony held in front of the Nevada State Capitol, featuring many of the people who helped to break ground earlier this year.

Reynolds and Drozdoff will fill the vacancies of Commissioners David Noble and Alaina Burtenshaw, respectively.

Carson City emergency crews called to vehicle crash involving pedestrian
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sat, 06/04/2016 - 9:25pmUPDATE 10:55PM: An adult female was flown Saturday night by Care Flight following a mishap with a single vehicle in which she was a passenger, a Carson City Sheriff's Office sergeant said.
The passenger attempted to get out of the vehicle when she thought the driver had it in park. The vehicle was in reverse and backed out, injuring the woman, said Sgt. Daniel Gonzales.
No charges will be filed. The condition of the victim is unknown at this time. When she left by ambulance she was conscious and alert, Gonzales said.
